I just hopped a plane back to SD and the weather is amazing here and the waves don’t suck. Even though there’s little waves back east today looks like the forecaster in SoCal is trying to make me feel better about things lol. By the way, if you don’t fly southwest domestically for surfing you’re missing the boat( or plane I guess I should say). Board bag is only $50 as long as its under weight. I’ve fit up to 7 boards underweight. I also feel the staff is much less disgruntled than other airlines. Also the no change fees rule for surfers that may need an extra day or two on either side of a trip.

The ol switcheroo!
Here’s a couple pics from before I paddled out. Unfortunately the wind did the ol switcheroo twenty minutes after I paddled out. Oh well. Tomorrow it’s on!
Oh yeah, and this stand was placed inside a gas station in the middle of New Hampshire. Probably not helping move too many units but right on dane!

I found this photo of me with the caption “somebody got a good one”. Thank you, and I’d say the same to you. What a beautiful picture. It’s so lucky and cool that I happened to be out then. It was taken by Brian Nevins and if you haven’t seen some of his pictures, google him, it will be your pleasure.
Not too motivated…
Shhhh…
Well then…
The waves pooped out by the afternoon today and when we were done hopping around in the ocean Zak had a great idea.Twisted tee mini golf, with it being only one stroke, $1 a hole-in-one….then $2 a hole-in-one…then $5 a hole-in-one games. Either pony up or pay up.
The crew got pretty deep. Zak, Cahl, Schaeffer, Ty, Ry, Manda, Dufton, Ritchie and myself. Who was working the shop you may ask? We’ll leave that for the detectives. Manda and Schaeffer pretty much cleaned up. My only drainer came after everybody had moved on to the next hole and I had to remind them that I hadn’t shot yet. I told them “even though I haven’t come close yet, the sun even shines on a goats ass once in a while”. I then took my shot and being horribly off from the get go I said “but not today”. Low and behold after a series of ridiculous ricochets and leave caused curves my ball found the bottom of the cup. We were all pissing ourselves, except Ty. Who, in a side note, was doing an ESM phone interview for the shop. Which, is super sweet and we are all so excited! Imagine if the guys down there at ESM could have seen the shop mini golf mayhem going on as Ty was doing the interview lol!! Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for that. What an epic day for the SS crew. Here’s some pics and remember tomorrow is a new day.
Here’s my ball after it found the drink
Sunday! Sunday!! Sunday!!!
You paid for your whole seat…BUT you’re only gonna use the edge!!
Gramps took me to the airport in Buffalo at 7:30 this morning and I already knew it was good. I was in the water by high noon.
Basically…if you didn’t score today, you SURE as hell didn’t read Joel’s article a couple posts ago….and there might not be much hope of you EVER scoring, EVER! EVER!!!!!!
Here is a super sick shot my amigo Matt Berko took today.
And here are a couple of shots of yours truly. Thanks so much to Ali and Rich!
And lastly here is what I snapped around the shoreline today.
Not the HB that I think of right off the top of my head, but I did live here and liked the off season a lot.
Buffalo with Gramps
Gramps in New Caledonia during WWII. I wish he had know how to shred! Back right.
Did I mention yet that if YOU did NOT score today, you may NEVER EVER EVER EVER SCORE!!??
