Jens pics

Look at these amazing photos that Jen took yesterday while I was out “cooling off”! I’m such a lucky guy! Unfortunately her business slogan is “call me for expensive prints” lol.

You can see why I love this place!

Whole lots of fun

The waves were super fun today and when our good friend Tyler McGill isn’t out pulling into Nias bombs, or getting decked by Manny Pacquiao so CBS has better ratings or out bumping tunes on the town in an oversized aqua Summer Sessions bus….
He is here in the Hampshire taking ridiculous donuts!
In all seriousness Ty got some great waves, but this wipeout had me laughing so hard that I swallowed a whole mouthful of kelpy nastiness and almost vomited. Luckily the great mr. Sander was there to document it all. Here are a couple of Tylers good waves and his 3 shot sequence of doom. There will be plenty more photos of today’s action soon to come.

Today I was hanging out in Newburyport with Jen and our amazing host Gwen. There are still no waves but I had a great day, amazing dinner and I got to explore a place I’ve always wanted to see. It was fun cruising around and taking photos
We ate at a restaurant named Enzo and if you have the chance to eat there I certainly recommend it. I had the “free form lasagna” which consisted of house-made pasta handkerchiefs, layered with house-made ricotta and a roasted tomato sauce.
I also scoped some new stretches of sand which unfortunately still had no wave action, but were really pretty.
Here’s some photos I snapped. Hopefully I’ll have some good surf stuff tomorrow.

One Year

I left San Diego last night on the red eye flight after work, and as I landed in Boston this morning I realized something. It’s been a year since I first started this blog and put up the picture of my icy fin and the Christmas eve and Christmas day barrels. What a good year it’s been! I’ve met so many cool people over the last year and had so many cool experiences. I really enjoy doing the blog and I’d like to thank everyone who takes the time and visits my site.
Unfortunately the waves are a far cry from last year but hopefully there will be some icy waves soon! But either way It’s great to be back and I can’t wait to see everybody. Here’s a comparison of the waves from last year and today. Happy Holidays.

I surfed the institute before and after work today. The morning was just close out barrels and the evening was pretty rippable with a little side shore breeze. I surfed with mr. Hunter Lysaught and he was in full shred mode.

This morning was by far the most crowded I’ve seen it in a long time. It was like having not just two pro basketball teams on the court but more like six and then having all the fans on the court trying to take shots as well. Since surfing wasn’t actually possible I went in for a bit. The wind came up and a ton of people came in so I headed back out and pretty much surfed until dark.
