6/12/11 Scripps evening session

So Saturday night was super fun and I was hoping Sunday would be more of the same. However it was super tiny, and almost not even breaking. However my dad is in town and he was watching me get my hop on. He’s definitely not a beach guy but was posted up in his fold out chair just like you would expect a dad to do. It’s so great having him here right now. He also snuck some video clips with his camera. I did have a good laugh when I had to inform after surfing that the iA focus feature on his camera wasn’t so “intelligent” and that he should switch it off if he films action stuff again. Anyway, I did a quick little edit of the non-existent surf and here is what he got. Thanks dad!

Eastern Surf Magazine

In these days of high speed internet and smart phones it’s becoming more rare to see print magazines. Over the course of the winter ESM featured several of Ryan Dennings videos that I was in, however I had never been printed in an east coast magazine. This month I cracked the ice in New Hampshire(no pun intended) with a small print picture in ESM. The shot was taken by Ryan Denning. For all you jokers I am in the top left, not the one in the bikini! Check it out at:

Early and Late

I surfed super early this morning and super late. The morning was ok, I surfed with my buddy garrett and got a couple fun waves and then I surfed after work this evening an it was super fun. There were a few good air sections but I’m still suffering from operator error since I’m not strapping on 6mm booties. I snapped a couple pics from my bike as I checked it after work.

6/10/11 waves

The morning offered super fun waves with ramps everywhere. I wound up taking pictures after I surfed in the afternoon which was much worse but there were still a couple.

Beautiful art

I had forgotten about how much I loved this picture that my newly 12 year old sister drew a few years ago. Of course I wound up with a surfboard under my arm haha.

This may be embarrassing for her but I had to show it off.

6/7/11 surf check

There were some fun waves on offer. As the afternoon rolled on the marine layer came in, the wind picked up and the tide dropped which meant that the first hour and a half of the session was much more fun.
