So as just about anybody knows that huge swell that just bashed Tahiti last week made it to CA this weekend. Here’s some pics my buddy Garret Scurr took friday morning. The swell filled in nice around the county today!

I almost pulled the trigger and  flew out for this storm but I didn’t…..and I’m kind of glad. There were of course some fun waves but with the storm track I think the travel hassle would have far outweighed the wave rewards. The waves were super fun today and the forecast shows it improving all week. So pumped. I can’t wait to get some clips and photos up on here.

My buddy Kalle is in town from Finland at the moment and we got to surf together yesterday morning. He has been a big influence in my life. He has introduced me to lots of great people and helped tons with my Spanish and other languages. He has been on the covers of Surfer Magazine and Surfers Journal and now shreds Finland when possible. Check out his blog “A Surf Mind”!
