“Neo-Purist”

It’s hard for me to not hear the voice of @igibsonproperties when I review certain images I’ve shot. Just one phrase…but it makes me laugh quite often. “Neo-Purist”. He said it well over a year ago, and I truly didn’t understand what he meant at the time. Since then I think I’ve been able to comprehend what he meant, and really find it to be a spot on assessment of my non-traditional, and sometimes weird approach to creating images. It’s simply that I want to give a viewer a new, relevant, yet pure look at the beautiful places we go to find and enjoy waves. So thanks Ian, for so politely and eloquently wording what I’ve come to realize is my “style” amigo.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿป

Little Rock, Arkansas

Patient and Pro Active is a heck of a good character combination in my book…and @andy__carter just checked both boxes for me. I shot this image of him almost a year ago and had withheld sending it to him in hopes that somebody would publish it. Like normal, nobody did, yet I failed to zip him the file. Well yesterday, he kindly sent me a message and not only does he have the file inbox, I love the kid stoking out on the shoulder and thought the story and image would be worth a share. I hope you score some more gems soon Andrew.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿพ

Running Good

I dread the very real possibility of documenting a fatal ride someday. I always try to send my unbelievably good luck to those in the water and can’t help but think of legends like Mark Foo, Todd Chesser, Sion Milosky and other souls I know that have passed, while doing what they love. May they all rest in peace, smiling down upon those kindred souls who continue living their dream.
