With the weather being a bit of a departure from normal, some spots that hibernate for long periods of time have been active. It’s like being on a surf trip but at home!

I was going through my photos on my external hard drive when adding my cross country drive pictures last night and I found this. The photo I took after my first winter surf in NH in 2010. It was certainly a shocker as it is salt water and it sparked the founding of this very site. Pretty obvious to state but… This certainly never happened to me in San Diego.

I made it back! Here are the last few photos I took on the drive.

Dad and I started our way downhill from Colorado Springs to Flagstaff yesterday. Here is what I took for photos. It’s nice to back where people not only know what a burrito is, but love them too haha.

Here are some photos from the last couple days as I made my way across the heartland of the USA. In the first photo you can see trees that snapped in an EF1 tornado that touched down in Hannibal, MO Monday night. The rest are scattered through Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas.

I forget which state I was in when I took this one. Second crazy storm in two days.
