I filmed a few of the groms and here’s what we got…

The surf photo is by Anthony Tilley and the rest I have taken in the last couple days with the trusty iPhone.

These are from a junky little evening at my favorite institute in LJ. When I came in I found out Anthony Tilley had snapped some photos of me. I don’t know why but when I did this collage I could just hear in my head an Australian commentator saying…

“Ohhh mate…he picked off a really good one here. The conditions are pretty bad but with the high tide these little waves have found a pretty smash able inside bank. I think he’s going to be a bit frustrated with himself on this one because had he landed the aerial I think the judges would have gone into the good to excellent range with their scores. In this case I think he’ll be lucky to land himself a 3.”

Out of my need to surf and chasing a 175 degree south swell I jumped on the bus with Jacob Szekely, Will Salvato and everyone else in Southern CA and headed to lowers! There were some fun waves and I got to see plenty of good friends I hadn’t seen in a while so as always it was a good trip up. Here’s my documentation of the event. We were behind the bus on the way back an it was too good to not take a picture of!
