I bore witness to an amazing sunrise, pumping waves and then fog. Thanks to Marcus at Surfline for including one of my images in their recent swell wrap up story.

@instatwon makes his way past a pre dawn peak, shimmering in the moonlight. Jetty local got lost and drifted down to the pier. The first trip I ever took with my fiancé @jenniferleighpitman was to Senegal. My friend @yeoldgnarwal invited us to stay with him at a “property owned by Akon”, so how could we say no?! Jen and I missed our connecting flight and arrived several days late, to a unique compound. As I entered our upstairs room, I saw Tyler under a mosquito net, sweating like a hog. The overhead fan was not spinning, so I politely asked if he’d like me to flip it on. His response was something to the order of “brother, you have no idea what you and your lady are in for”. I flipped the switch several times…the fan stayed rusted in place. Nowhere left to go. If there’s an opening…expect sand in it. …waiting for Jocko’s 4:30am post. Before you got your coffee. Squatchin’ with the dredge crew. The appropriately named @ericdanger . I tactfully skipped asking “how his session went?”, and led with “I’m glad you’re ok”. Kermit picking the banjo. TURN IT UP!!!! Real Muthaphuckkin’ Gulls: “I’ll steal your snacks and crap on your car before you ever get barreled in my town.” …searching for B-Rad G. Lord Ward. Bow Down! Here’s to the ones that love us and tolerate our passions. As many of you know, I’m not a genius. But when the “no wake zone” has overhead waves…even my dumb ass knows everywhere must be pumping. @spencestagramin I’m living proof that the sun even shines on a goats ass once in a while. After thinking I wouldn’t see any of the eclipse due to cloud cover, the skies parted. Puke in your mouth a little, if you’ve already seen 5 shots of this mornings eclipse.
