The fantasy surfing season is in full swing now. I love being able to watch contests all around the world from my laptop. After the first three events I’m in second place overall on fantasyprosurfing. Last year the winner got a trip for two to Peru I believe. My team name is “totally boss!!”. The days of the Slater “in your face claim” have passed….
Even the more subtle single fist pump has had it’s year in the sun and it’s days are numbered….
This is quickly becoming an era of the Latino based “vergas” finger snap claim! Of course a few of my good Mexican buddies like Oscar Moncada, David Rutherford and Kalle Carranza have been owning this stylish claim for years but as I’ve been watching the six star prime in Brazil and the four star in Australia the last few days it is apparent that this movement has gone global……If you just SHREDDED a wave so hard that the judges are gonna have a hard time debating between the score of a 9 or a 10, you NEED to add in the “VERGAS” finger snap to seal the deal.
Luckily for you guys Sterling Spencer has recently compiled a sort of “how to” video showing even the novice surfer how it’s done.
Condolences go out to Sterling and his family who lost his father (the great Yancy Spencer III) just a few days ago.

The 22 mph offshores are howling outside right now. It’s low tide but unfortunately it’s even lower swell lol. Some mid shin high clean ups once in a while.

So if you’ve never been to New England it’s a fact that it is over run with Dunkin’ Donuts. There are 977 locations just in Mass. Not bad for a company that I thought had gone out of business when I was 8 years old lol. I knew I was back when I saw this. I’ve also included a map with all the locations of DD stores.
