The waves dropped quite a bit today. In the knee high range with the occasional waist to chest high bomb set. lol. Here’s a few pics I snapped today.

Here are some snapshots I took today right before I paddled out. It was chest-overhead and offshore. Outside air temp with windchill was 6 degrees fahrenheit.

You know it’s cold when you see this!

Now keep in mind that is salt water that’s frozen on my fins! With the windchill it was at 6 degrees when I paddled out today. So not only was it the first time that I wore long underwear today…it was definitely the first time I’ve ever had ice in my fins. YIKES!

I snapped some photos today after a dawn patrol session. Outside temps never got above 35 but there were still plenty of warriors out to get theirs.

So I strapped on a hood, 5mm gloves, 6mm booties and a 5/4 O’neill Mutant for the first time today. The surf was pretty sloppy but I wanted to try and get used to the gear since the next couple days should be fun.

>So after many hours of debate on what to call my blog….Here it is! I have way to much fun thinking of puns and with a last name like mine (SCHNELL) there were so many funny blog titles to choose between. I hope you enjoy my updates and seeing what I am up to.

No matter what you say…I don’t think @holy.skip has let the big money signing with @laundry_pros go to his head at all. Still out there grinding like he washes his own undies. 7-11, until the wheels fall off. Even though it’s surfings most “Hollywood studio” like setting…I can’t help but get nervous, since the opportunities are so limited. If I blow it, there’s no excuses…it’s on me. The Malibu wrap. Who cares what it is, or what’s in it. It sounds so cool, you should just order it and enjoy. If it’s not already on the menu, at coolest cafe in your town…it will be soon. Yesterday I hit the road at 4:30am. By 8am, I could see my ambitions circling the toilet, dreading a flush. My camera hadn’t made it out of the bag and conditions had these four fish out of water. When I overheard their “setting multiple alarms, to wake up” conversation, I realized only one photo needed to be taken. A group shot, of the kindred souls, shooting the shit. I asked, they obliged. Camera went back in the bag, I headed to noon class and didn’t snap another image until this morning. Life is good. Instantly, all the other dads at the bounce park were jealous. @koloheandino You’re sun burnt, exhausted, damp from sea mist and ready to crush some food. As the salt crystallizes and wafts of weed blow past, you know life doesn’t get any better. What’s better than a cheeseburger? Quite often when I show people photos on my phone, they are quick to remark, “you took that on an iPhone?!”. Third shift at the skeeter factory. @jakes_strength …132 “See I’ma shine, like all six of my gold teeth” @instatwon makes his way past a pre dawn peak, shimmering in the moonlight. Jetty local got lost and drifted down to the pier. The first trip I ever took with my fiancé @jenniferleighpitman was to Senegal. My friend @yeoldgnarwal invited us to stay with him at a “property owned by Akon”, so how could we say no?! Jen and I missed our connecting flight and arrived several days late, to a unique compound. As I entered our upstairs room, I saw Tyler under a mosquito net, sweating like a hog. The overhead fan was not spinning, so I politely asked if he’d like me to flip it on. His response was something to the order of “brother, you have no idea what you and your lady are in for”. I flipped the switch several times…the fan stayed rusted in place.
